Three Brothers - digital cross stitch pattern
Based on the Tale of the Three Brothers by Beetle the Bard, as told in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. The design shows the three Peverell Brothers confronting Death. (Immortality not guaranteed with purchase.)
The pattern is 144 stitches wide and 144 stitches tall with a total of 7,224 stitches.
On 16-count Aida, the finished design measures 9 inches round (approximately 20 cm).
On 18-count Aida, the finished design measures 8 inches round (approximately 23 cm).
The finished piece would look wonderful framed in a square frame or a round hoop slightly larger than the finished size. (For example, a 10-inch hoop to hold a 9-inch finished piece on 16-ct.)
As a fabric suggestion, the pattern would look stunning stitched on parchment-colored Aida or linen. Tea-dyeing or coffee-dyeing white fabric is an easy and inexpensive way to get lovely results and many tutorials are available on YouTube, etc. The pattern is designed to be stitched in solid black (DMC 310) but you can also experiment and use a different color if desired! Customizing your pattern is half the fun, so feel free to completely ignore my suggestions and come up with something wonderful and unique! You will need 4 skeins of your chosen thread if you use 2 strands to stitch, or 6 skeins for 3 strands.
